Musings for Virgo the Virgin

VICES Judgement and Separation

Virtue of Virgo

We can apply your ability to observe and listen to the phenomena of nature and spiritual realms to become like the temple priestesses. We open our access to healing energies by tuning to subtle forces. Our acute discernment allows us to digest the essential useful meaning of situations. Honing our ability to listen for the right time to share and the right time to restrain ourselves has courtesy or tact of heart. By holding warm silence for another we support and beckon them to express their own soulful qualities.

Vice of Virgo

When we choose how others “should” organize their reality we imprison them in our judgment. We can hold doors open for others or we can get in their way. If we rudely barge in without an invitation, we can disturb the intrinsic wholeness of a situation. The polarity of virtue and vice can be embodied here as the distinction between the temple priestess and the whore. One holds pristine sacred space. The other receives a mis-qualified energy into her space.

The ruler of Virgo is planet Mercury the messenger. Mercury also rules  Gemini the Twins. Swift as the wind, Mercury was known in ancient Greece as Hermes, the messenger of the Gods from Mt Olympus. With a keen quick mind, youthful beauty, agility and self‑knowledge, he communicates the thoughts of the Gods to the people. Always within the radiance and close proximity to the Sun and the Gods, he translates energies surging from Source; or from the Sun to the Earth. Mercury is also a mediator between the higher and lower, faster and slower aspects of ourselves. He links the eternal and the temporary, the Divine and the mundane, and the visible and the invisible.

Daily Star Seed

Wednesday has similarities with “we” day and wedding day. Mercury’s day influences connectedness, communications and unconscious thinking, as well as karmic debts and indebtedness. It resonates with the 2d chakra, the sacral or sexual chakra. Mercury cultivates right speech, meaning conscious use of words. Mercury asks us to always experience ourselves as part of life all around us, linked with all life everywhere. How do I experience and express my connection to all of creation? (This also cultivates intuition)

Note your inner response(s) and say yes I will follow through with …. Or no I will stop or manage differently appropriate actions according to your message.
